Monte Cristo Casserole Recipe Video
|French bread loaf||1 Large, sliced (1/2-inch thick)|
|Dijon mustard||2 Tablespoon|
|Swiss cheese||6 Ounce, thinly sliced (Emmental cheese)|
|Ham||1 Pound, thinly sliced (Virginia Ham or Deli ham)|
|Provolone cheese||6 Ounce, thinly sliced|
|Milk||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Panko/Breadcrumbs||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Fresh parsley||2 Tablespoon, chopped|
|Olive oil||3 Tablespoon|
|Bacon||4 Tablespoon, cooked and crumbled (6-8 slices)|
|Mozzarella cheese||4 Ounce, grated|
|Green onion||2 Medium, finely chopped|

1.At the bottom of a large (2-quart) rectangular casserole dish, layer 1/2 of the bread.
2.Spread mustard on the bread.
3.Layer with Provolone cheese, ham and Swiss cheese.
4.Now layer the rest of the bread slices on top.
5.Beat the egg and milk together.
6.Pour the mixture over the bread.
7.Chill for anywhere between 1 to 12 hours.
8. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.
9.Mix together the bread crumbs, parsley and olive oil before baking .
10.Sprinkle this over the casserole top.
11.Bake for about 40 minutes in the oven
12.Remove and top with mozzarella and bacon and green onions.
13.Put it back in the oven for about 3-5 minutes, just long enough for cheese to melt.
14.Serve with strawberry jam or maple syrup. Can be served plain too.
