Ingredients

 Bread slice6
 12 slices of turkey or ham or 6 slices each
 3 eggs, lightly beaten with 2 tablespoons water
 Vegetable oil2 Tablespoon
 Butter1 Tablespoon
 1 1/2 cups grated processed Swiss cheese
 Milk1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Mayonnaise1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Nutmeg1/8 Teaspoon

Directions

Place meat between 2 slices of bread.
Dip sandwiches in egg mixture.
In a frying pan, heat oil and butter; fry both sides of sandwiches until golden brown.
Place in a baking dish.
In a saucepan, combine cheese, milk, mayonnaise and nutmeg.
Heat, stirring constantly, until cheese melts and mixture is smooth.
Pour over sandwiches and broil 3 to 5 minutes, 6 inches from broiler, until bubbly.
Makes 3 servings.
