Ingredients

 2 to 2 1/2 pounds chicken parts
 3 celery stalks, cut in 1 -inch pieces
 Bay leaves2 , crushed
 1 1/2 to 2 teaspoons peppercorns or pepper to taste
 Onion1 , sliced
 Hot water8 Cup (16 tbs)
 2 carrots, shredded (about 1 cup)
 1 to 1 1/2 cups fine egg noodles
 Salt2 Teaspoon

Directions

Set Power Select at HIGH.
In 5-quart casserole dish, combine chicken, celery, bay leaves, pepper, onion and water.
Heat, covered, 10 minutes.
Set Power Select at MEDIUM-LOW.
Heat 35 to 37 minutes or until chicken is tender.
Strain broth into 3-quart casserole dish; add carrots, noodles and salt.
Heat, covered, 7 to 8 minutes at MEDIUM-LOW.
Meanwhile, remove chicken from bone.
Add chicken to soup and let stand, covered, 7 to 8 minutes or until noodles are tender.
