Moms Chicken Curry Recipe
This chicken curry is spicy,rich and very tasty. Try and enjoy!!!

Ingredients
| Green chilly | 2 , slit lengthwise | |
| Curry leaves | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Oil | 50 Milliliter (For frying) | |
| Grated coconut | 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
| Cashewnuts | 8 (soaked in milk) | |
| Fennel seeds | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Cinnamon sticks | 3 | |
| Cloves | 2 | |
| Fennel seeds | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Chicken | 1⁄2 Kilogram, cut into bite size pieces | |
| Turmeric powder | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Red chili powder | 4 Teaspoon | |
| Garam masala powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Soya sauce | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Ginger garlic paste | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Curd | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Lemon juice | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Curry leaves | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Onion | 4 , finely chopped | |
| Tomato | 3 , finely chopped | |
| Ginger garlic paste | 1 Teaspoon |
Directions
1. Clean the chicken well and add all the ingredients given for marinade and keep in the refrigirator for 1-3hrs.
2. Grind the coconut with the cashews, fennel seeds in to a fine paste ad keep it aside.
3. Crush and powder the ingredients for tempering and keep aside.
4. Heat oil in kadai, add the powdered spices, saute for a min.
5. Add the onions, green chilly, curry leaves and saute till transparent.
6. Add the ginger-garlic paste and saute. Now add the tomatoes and saute for 5 mins.
7. Add the marinated chicken with the marinade and saute till the chicken turns white on the outer.
8. Add water just till the chicken pieces nicely immerse. Now taste and adjust chilly powder or salt if needed.
9. Cover and cook till the chickens are tender.
10. After the chicken is well cooked, remove the cover and add the grounded coconut paste and leave to boil.
11. When the gravy nicely boils, simmer and cook till the curry consisitency(Till the oil floats on top).
12. Finally garnish with cilantro.
Tastes excellent with steaming white rice. Enjoy!!

We tried the recipe and it turned out really good. But I request the original poster to check the quantities as they are not proportionate to the quantity of the chicken. 2 table spoons of turmeric and 4 table spoons of chilli powder for half kg chicken is very high in my experience.

i DID'NT enjoy this recepie,as i did it exactly what it says in this recepie.
it puy my mood off firstly when i saw the chicken gravy RED in colour.the picture in this recepie shows bright yellow and i love yellow aromatic mouth watering curries.but this one went 'FLOP'!!!!the taste is different with NO flavours or taste in my mouth!
SORRY I DID'T LIKE THIS RECEPIE AT ALL!!!

It's wonderful to find a recipe that you can taste from just reading the ingredients and the instructions are perfectly written. I can't wait to assemble the ingredients and get started.
