We tried the recipe and it turned out really good. But I request the original poster to check the quantities as they are not proportionate to the quantity of the chicken. 2 table spoons of turmeric and 4 table spoons of chilli powder for half kg chicken is very high in my experience.

It's wonderful to find a recipe that you can taste from just reading the ingredients and the instructions are perfectly written. I can't wait to assemble the ingredients and get started. I've been craving a dish like this after tasting one at a restaurant that closed. Now I can make it at home. Thanks for the comments too they are most helpful for someone making curry for the first time.

it says 1/2 kilo which is 500 grams or 1 1/4 pounds. Sounds correct in proportion to other ingredients.

It's 2010! Made the recipe - excellent. It's a keeper. As I told my daughter, "I'm going to add it to my repertoire." This is my third or fourth stab at a chicken curry, and this was it. Thank you.
