Molded Sweet Cherry Salad Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 can light sweet cherries, drained and pitted, liquid reserved | ||
| Boiling water | ||
| 1 package cherry flavored gelatin | ||
| Stuffed olives | 8 , chopped | |
| Slivered almonds | 1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Crisp lettuce | ||
| Mayonnaise | ||
Directions
Measure separately the reserved cherry liquid and enough boiling water to make 2 cups, but do not combine.
Dissolve gelatin in boiling water; then add cherry liquid.
Chill until thick and syrupy.
Fold cherries, olives, and almonds into slightly thickened gelatin.
Pour into a 5 cup mold and chill until firm.
Unmold on crisp lettuce and garnish with mayonnaise.
