Molded Sweet Cheese Recipe

1/2 pint small curd cottage cheese
1 large package cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
3 tablespoons kirsch Sweet cherries or berries
Directions
Press cottage cheese through a fine wire strainer placed over a bowl.
Add cream cheese to bowl and beat with an electric mixer or spoon until well blended.
Mix in sugar, lemon peel, and kirsch.
Place several layers of cheesecloth in a 2 cup heart shaped mold, allowing cloth to extend well beyond edges.
Place mold in a shallow pan.
Spoon cheese mixture into prepared mold and loosely fold cloth ends over mixture.
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for several hours or until firm.
If made ahead, refrigerate until the next day.
To unmold, open cheesecloth and invert mold onto a serving platter.
Remove mold and cloth.
