Molasses Snaps Recipe
Molasses Snaps are easy to make team time cookies. These cookies are ready in a matter or minutes and you can bake them just before tea time. Molasses snaps are mildly spiced with ginger and taste just right.
Ingredients
Margarine -3/4 cup
Sugar-1 cup
Egg-1, well beaten
Light molasses -1 cup
Water-1/2 cup, hot
All-purpose flour -4 cups, sifted
Ginger-1/4 teaspoon
Salt -1 teaspoon
Baking soda-1 teaspoon
Directions
MAKING
1)In a bowl, beat together margarine and sugar until light and fluffy.
2)Add egg and beat well.
3)Add molasses and hot water.
4)In a bowl, sift together flour, ginger, salt and soda.
5)Add it into molasses mixture and mix.
6)Take greased baking sheets and drop spoonsful of batter on it.
7)Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.
SERVING
8)Serve the molasses snaps immediately.
