Directions

Sift flour, baking powder, soda, salt and spices to- gether.
Add egg, milk, 1/4 cup oil and molasses; mix well.
Pour 2 inches oil in skillet; heat to 365 de- grees.
Drop batter from teaspoon into hot oil; cook for 2 minutes, turning once.
Drain on absorbent paper.
Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar.
