Molasses Wheat Germ Cookies Recipe

| Margarine | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Brown sugar | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs), firmly packed | |
| 1/4 c. old-fashioned molasses | ||

| Whole wheat pastry flour | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 3/4 c. raw wheat germ | ||
| Baking powder | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Cloves | 1/2 Tablespoon | |
| Cinnamon | 1 Tablespoon | |
Directions
Cream margarine and sugar together; add molasses.
Beat in egg.
Mix dry ingredients together and add to batter.
Stir well.
Chill about one hour.
Preheat oven to 350°.
Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on lightly greased baking sheet.
Press flat with the smooth bottom of a glass dipped in flour.
If desired, raisins may be used to decorate the cookies.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
Remove after a few moments from baking sheet to wire rack to finish cooling.
