Honey Molasses Taffy Recipe

Ingredients
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup white vinegar
2 cups molasses
1 teaspoon soda
1 tablespoon butter
Directions
In a saucepan, mix honey, vinegar, and molasses.
Boil until mixture forms a hard ball when dropped into cold water or reaches 270° F.(see Basic Procedure for Testing Candy ).
Stir in the soda and butter.
Mix well.
Pour onto large buttered platter or cookie sheet.
When cool enough to handle with buttered fingers, pull until taffy is light and shiny.
Place the long pieces of pulled candy on buttered dish and cut into pieces.
Wrap each piece separately to prevent sticking.
