 1 cup whole-wheat flour
 Baking powder2 Teaspoon
 Baking soda1 Teaspoon
 Salt1/2 Teaspoon
 Raisins1/2 Cup (16 tbs)

Directions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Thoroughly wash, dry, grease and flour 3 empty 16-ounce cans; set aside.
In a large bowl, cream butter or margarine and sugar until smooth and fluffy.
Beat in eggs.
Stir in applesauce and molasses until thoroughly blended.
In a medium bowl, combine all-purpose flour, whole-wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Stir into creamed mixture until blended.
Stir in raisins.
Spoon batter evenly into 3 prepared cans.
Bake for 40 to 45 minutes in preheated oven until tops are golden brown.
Cool in cans about 5 minutes; remove cans.
Cool to room temperature on rack before slicing.
Cut into thin slices.
Spread half of slices with your choice of fillings.
Top each with another slice; cut in half.
