 1 L flour, all purpose
 Baking soda10 Milliliter
 5 ml each of salt, cinnamon, ginger
 1 ml each ground cloves, allspice, nutmeg
 Vegetable shortening330 Milliliter
 Granulated Sugar250 Milliliter
 4 eggs, slightly beaten
 Molasses250 Milliliter
 Butter250 Milliliter
 Sour milk250 Milliliter
 Raisins250 Milliliter

Directions

GETTING READY
1) Preheat oven to 350 degree.

MAKING
2) Sift flour with baking soda, cinnamon, salt, cloves, ginger, allspice, nutmeg, blend together and keep aside.
3) In a mixing bowl, cream shortening with sugar and beat until fluffy.
4) Blend sour milk, molasses, and butter and stir in the mixture.
5) Stir in all the dry ingredients.
6) Take greased muffin pans, spoon the mixture, and bake for 20 minutes or until muffin turns golden brown.

SERVING
7) Serve hot with jam or butter.
