Ingredients

 Molasses1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Butter/Margarine1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Warm milk1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Soda1/2 Teaspoon
 Flour1 Cup (16 tbs), sifted
 1 cup brown sugar, well packed
 Eggs4 , Well beaten

Directions

1. Start oven, set at Moderate, 350° F. Rub a 1 1/2-quart baking dish with margarine or butter.
2. Mix the molasses with the softened butter or margarine, beating until completely blended. Pour the warm milk into the mixture; sift the flour with the soda and beat in thoroughly.
3. Blend the brown sugar with the eggs, beat until foamy and stir into the flour mixture.
4. Pour the batter into the baking dish. Bake 45 minutes.
