Mock Mince Pie Recipe

| Sugar | 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) | |
| Molasses | 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1⁄2 Teaspoon | |
| Cinnamon | 1⁄2 Teaspoon | |
| Allspice | 1⁄4 Teaspoon | |
| Ground cloves | 1⁄4 Teaspoon | |
| Boiling water | 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs) | |
| Beef bouillon cube | 1 | |
| Pastry | 1 |
Directions
Put lemon and raisins through food chopper.
Add remaining ingredients, except pastry.
Heat to boiling and simmer, stirring occasionally, about 30 minutes.
Cool slightly.
Line a 9-inch pie plate with about two-thirds of the pastry.
Pour filling into pie plate.
Cover with lattice top.
Bake in a hot oven (450° F) 10 minutes; reduce temperature to 350° F and continue baking 30 to 40 minutes.
Makes one 9-inch pie.
