Mock Lasagna Recipe
Mock Lasagna has an Awe-inspiring taste. The beef and cream cheese
gives the Mock Lasagna Sole taste. Must catch it
Ingredients
1 pound lean ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1/4 cup vegetable shortening
5 ounces broad noodles
1 1/2 cups cream style cottage cheese, small curd
1 package cream cheese
1 can tomato sauce
1 can tomato paste
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
Directions
Advance preparation: In large skillet, brown ground beef and onion in hot vegetable shortening.
Cook noodles ac cordingto package directions; drain.
In small bowl, cream together cottage cheese and cream cheese.
Drain excess fat from beef mixture; stir in tomato sauce, tomato paste, and seasonings.
In 2 quart casserole, place half the noodles; top with half the meat mixture and cheese mixture.
Repeat layers; spread last layer of cheese to completely cover top.
Refrigerate.
Before serving: Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 30 minutes or until heated through.
