 2 c. mashed cooked salsify
 1 egg, well-beaten
 Pepper1/8 Teaspoon
 Salt1/2 Teaspoon
 Dash paprika
 1 tablesp. melted butter or margarine
 Finely sifted dried bread crumbs

Directions

Combine all ingredients except bread crumbs and shape into 12 oyster-size patties.
Roll in crumbs and saute in a little hot fat in a skillet until golden brown on both sides.
Serve as a vegetable.
