Mock Fish Cakes Recipe

| Large potatoes - 2, peeled, washed and grated | ||
| Self-rising flour - 1 tbsp (15 ml) | ||
| Egg - 1, beaten water, to mix | ||
| Oil - for shallow-frying | ||
| Cooked bacon strips | ||
| Tomato sauce or catsup, to serve | ||
Directions
MAKING
1 In a bowl, place grated potatoes.
2 Add flour, egg and sufficient water to bind together.
3 In a pan, heat oil.
4 Drop tablespoonfuls (15 ml) of mixture into the pan.
5 Flatten with the back of a spatula.
6 Cook both sides until golden.
7 Drain on paper towels.
SERVING
8 Serve hot.
