Mixed Fish Fry Recipe
Ingredients
| Pan dressed trout/Perch / whiting | 1 1⁄2 Pound | |
| Haddock fillets | 1 Pound | |
| Eel | 1⁄2 Pound | |
| Jumbo shrimp | 16 | |
| All purpose flour | 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1⁄8 Teaspoon | |
| Beaten eggs | 2 | |
| Dry bread crumbs | 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs) |
Directions
Thaw frozen fish.
Cut haddock into large chunks.
Cut eel, crosswise, into 2-inch pieces.
Shell shrimp, leaving last section and tail intact.
Combine flour, salt, and pepper.
Combine eggs and 1/4 cup water.
Dip seafoods into flour and then in egg mixture; roll in bread crumbs.
Heat small amount of shortening in a large skillet.
Place fish in skillet in a single layer.
Fry on one side, 4 to 5 minutes.
Turn and fry till brown and fish flakes easily when tested with a fork, about 4 to 5 minutes.
Fry shrimp till done, about 3 to 5 minutes.
Drain.
