Mixed Mustard Pickles Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 quart small cucumbers, cut in 1/2 inch pieces | ||
| 1 quart large onions, sliced | ||
| 1 quart small silverskin onions | ||
| 1 large cauliflower, cut into bite-size pieces | ||
| Apples | 3 , diced (Cover with water and let stand overnight:) | |
| 3 large sweet red peppers, diced | ||
| Salt | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) (Cover with water and let stand overnight:) | |
| Drain. | ||
| Brown sugar | 8 Cup (16 tbs) (Mix together and add to vegetables:) | |
| Cider vinegar | 1 1/2 Quart (Mix together and add to vegetables:) | |
| Mustard seed | 1/4 Pound (Mix together and add to vegetables:) | |
| 3 rounded tsps. turmeric | ||
Directions
Bring to a boil.
Bottle.
If you like a thick mustard sauce on your pickles, thicken with one cup of flour.
