Mixed Fruit Compote Recipe
Ingredients
| Squeezed orange juice | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Juice of 1 lemon or lime | ||
| 1 lemon peel, grated (without white pith) | ||
| Honeydew melons | 2 Pound | |
| About 1/2 cup sugar, more or less to taste and according to sweetness of fruit available | ||
| Orange or cherry or anise liqueur | ||
Directions
1. Pour juices and lemon peel into a large bowl.
2. Wash fruit, peel, and core or pit. Grapes should be halved and seeds removed. Cut all fruits into bite-sized pieces and combine with fruit juices, coating well to avoid darkening.
3. Add sugar to taste (you may wish to omit sugar completely), and liqueur. Cover and refrigerate several hours or even overnight, stirring several times to blend well.
