Mixed Bean And Ham Casserole Recipe
Ingredients
| Onion | 4 Ounce, minced | |
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), minced | |
| Tomato juice | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 10 ounces cooked and drained dried beans and peas | ||
| 6 ounces cooked ham or pork, diced | ||
| 1/2 cup water or beef bouillon | ||
| Vinegar | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Soy sauce | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Dry mustard | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Brown sugar | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Directions
In uncovered flameproof oven-to-table casserole, cook onion and garlic in tomato juice, at high heat, until tomato juice is reduced by half.
Add remaining ingredients, bring to boil, stir gently then let simmer covered for 15 minutes or freeze: defrost; bake covered at 350° for 30 minutes before serving.
