 Pillsbury2 Cup (16 tbs)
 All Purpose or Unbleached
 Flour
 Firmly packed brown sugar1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Butter margarine1/2 Cup (16 tbs), melted
 Baking powder1 Teaspoon
 Baking soda1/2 Teaspoon
 Salt1/4 Teaspoon
 Cinnamon1 Teaspoon
 Cloves14 Teaspoon
 Buttermilk1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Vanilla1 Teaspoon
 Egg1

Directions

Heat oven to 350°F.
Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off.
In ungreased 8 or 9-inch square pan, combine flour, brown sugar and melted margarine; mix with fork until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Remove and reserve 1 cup crumbs.
Add baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and cloves to mixture in pan; stir with fork to blend well.
In small bowl, combine buttermilk, vanilla and egg; blend well.
Pour over flour mixture in pan; mix until smooth.
With rubber spatula, scrape corners, sides and bottom of pan to moisten all ingredients.
Sprinkle reserved crumb mixture evenly over top of batter.
Bake at 350°F for 40 to 50 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Serve warm or cool.
