Minute Pepper Steak Recipe

Ingredients
2 tsp (10 ml) black pepper, freshly ground
4 1/2 inch (1.25 cm) thick steaks, inside round or sirloin
2 tbsp (30 ml) butter
1 tbsp (15 ml) Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp (5 ml) lemon juice
1/2 tsp (2 ml) celery salt
Garlic clove, minced
3 tbsp (45 ml) water
Directions
– Spread ground pepper on waxed paper and press steaks onto it, making sure pepper adheres well to meat
– Combine all other ingredients in a bowl.
– In a skillet, melt butter, sear steaks on one side, turn and baste cooked surface with sauce.
– When steaks are well seared on both sides, pour the rest of the sauce into the skillet and cook to desired taste.
– Garnish steaks with sauce and serve.
– If you need more sauce, remove steaks and pour 1/2 cup (125 ml) water or beef broth into hot skillet. Allow liquid to reduce by half.
