Minty Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 cup picked mint leaves | ||
| Garlic | 6 Clove (5gm) | |
| Green chillies | 3 | |
| Ginger | 1 Inch | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| 1/2 tsp chilly powder | ||
| Cumin powder | 1 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper powder | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| 1 small lemon-sized ball of tamarind | ||
| A small piece of jaggery | ||
Directions
1. Grind to a paste all the ingredients on the left.
2. Extract thick pulp of tamarind by boiling in 1 cup of hot water.
3. To the tamarind extract add the ground paste, the powdered masalas and the jaggery. Simmer for 5-8 minutes or until a chutney consistency is reached.
4. Cool and bottle. It will keep for 1-2 weeks.
