Ingredients

 
6 medium tomatoes, sliced 1/4 inch thick
 
2 medium Spanish onions, sliced thin
 
3/4 cup French dressing
 
1 tbsp. fresh mint, chopped
 
Lettuce
 
Sprigs of fresh mint

Directions

Arrange overlapping slices of tomato and onion in a flat glass pan.
Pour French dressing over and sprinkle with chopped mint.
Let stand in refrigerator 2 to 3 hours to marinate, spooning dressing over slices occasionally.
Serve on lettuce, garnished with sprigs of fresh mint and with some of dressing poured over.
