Mint Patty Alaska Recipe
Ingredients
| Egg whites | 2 | |
| Cream of tartar | 1⁄4 Teaspoon | |
| Vanilla | 1⁄4 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1 Dash | |
| Sugar | 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) | |
| Sponge cake | 2 | |
| Chocolate coated peppermint ice cream patties | 2 , Coated | |
| Crushed peppermint stick candy | 1 Tablespoon |
Directions
Beat egg whites with cream of tartar, vanilla, and salt to soft peaks.
Gradually add sugar, beating to stiff peaks.
Place cake cups on cutting board; top each with ice cream patty.
Cover with meringue, spreading thicker over ice cream and thinner around cake; seal edges at bottom.
Sprinkle meringue with candy.
Bake at 500° for 2 to 3 minutes or till browned.
Serve at once.
