Mint Julep Sundaes Recipe
Ingredients
| Unsweetened crushed pineapple - 1 can of 8 ounces, drained | ||
| Lemon juice | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Cornstarch | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Crème de menthe - 2 tablespoons | ||
| Vanilla ice milk - 3 cups | ||
| Mint leaves | 4 | |
Directions
MAKING
1) In a non-aluminum saucepan, combine together the lemon juice, pineapple and cornstarch. Stir well till the cornstarch has dissolved.
2) Bring the contents to a boil, reduce the heat and cook, constantly stirring, till the mixture is thick.
3) Take the mixture off the heat and add the crème de menthe.
SERVING
4) Into 6 individual dessert dishes, spoon ½ cup of ice milk and top each serving with 2 tablespoons of pineapple mixture. Use fresh mint leaves to garnish and serve right away.
