Ingredients

 All purpose flour1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Whole wheat flour1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Sugar1 Tablespoon
 Baking powder4 Teaspoon
 Soda1 Teaspoon
 Salt1 Teaspoon
 1 Tsp. Minced Onion Flakes
 Sage1 Teaspoon
 Thyme1/2 Teaspoon
 Cooked rice1 Cup (16 tbs), drained
 Eggs2
 Buttermilk11/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Melted butter1/3 Cup (16 tbs)

Directions

Combine the first ten ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
Whisk the eggs, buttermilk and melted shortening in another bowl.
Combine quickly, pouring the wet ingredients into the dry.
Spoon into greased muffin tins.
Bake until done and serve warm.
Bake at 375 degrees 22-25 minutes
