Ingredients

 
1/2 cup softened butter 125 mL
 
1 cup granulated sugar 250 mL
 
2 cups all-purpose flour 500 mL
 
1 tsp baking soda 5mL
 
1 tsp salt 5mL
 
1 tsp grated orange zest 5mL
 
3/4 cup sour cream 175 mL
 
1/2 cup raisins 125 mL
 
1/2 cup chopped nuts 125 mL
 
DIP:
 
1 cup granulated sugar 250 mL
 
1/2 cup orange juice 125 ML

Directions

In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until smooth.
In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt and zest.
Add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream, stirring just until blended.
Do not overmix.
Fold in raisins and chopped nuts.
Spoon batter into prepared muffin tins.
Bake in preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
In a bowl combine sugar and orange juice.
Dip warm muffins into this mixture.
