Ingredients

 2 tablespoons/60 g/2 oz butter
 Garlic2 Clove (5gm), crushed
 Onions2 Small, finely chopped
 Bacon rashers4 , chopped
 250 g/8 oz bacon bones
 150 g/4 1/2 oz red kidney beans
 100 g/3 1/2 oz haricot beans, soaked overnight
 1/2 small cabbage, roughly chopped
 100 g/3 1/2 oz spinach, washed and chopped
 3 medium-sized potatoes, peeled and chopped
 2 medium-sized carrots, peeled and diced
 Frozen peas150 Gram, shelled
 Stalk celery1 , chopped
 Parsley2 Tablespoon, finely chopped
 2 litres/3 1/2 pt chicken stock
 Salt To Taste
 100 g/3 1/2 oz tomato and cheese tortellini
 50 g/2 oz pasta of your choice
 Fresh Parmesan cheese

Directions

1. Heat butter and add garlic, onion, bacon and bones. Saute 4-5 minutes. 2. Add all other ingredients except pasta and bring to the boil. Allow to simmer covered for approximately 90 minutes.
3. Remove and discard bacon bones.
4. Stir in both pastas and cook until al dente.
