Mincemeat Cookies Recipe
Mincemeat cookies are savory cookies that have a quite a bite to them. Baked with flour, mincemeat, brown sugar and eggs, the mincemeat cookies are flavored with spices like nutmeg and cinnamon and can be served as light snacks.
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups sifted flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1/4 cup water
2 eggs
1/3 cup shortening
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup nuts
1/2 cup packaged mincemeat
Directions
Heat oven to 375°.
Grease cookie sheets.
Sift flour and baking soda together into mixing bowl.
Put water, eggs, shortening, sugar, spices and salt into Osterizer container, cover and process at MIX until smooth.
Stop blender, add nuts and mincemeat, cover and CYCLE/CHOP.
Pour mixture into flour and mix well.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheet.
Bake 8 10 minutes.
Remove from cookie sheet immediately after removing from oven.
