Mincemeat Apple Crisp Recipe
Mincemeat apple crisp is a baked apple and mincemeat dish that can be served as a savory side for a meal. Baked with alternating layers of mincemeata and apples, it savory and flavored with a dash of cinnamon.
Ingredients
1 3/4 cups prepared mincemeat or 1 9-ounce package
4 medium apples, pared and sliced
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup enriched flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup butter or margarine
Directions
If using packaged mincemeat, prepare according to package directions.
Place half of apples in buttered 8x1 1/2 inch round baking dish.
Top with half the mincemeat; repeat layers.
Mix remaining ingredients till crumbly; sprinkle over top.
Bake in moderate oven (350°) about 45 minutes.
Serve warm.
