Ingredients

 Chopped tomatoes3 Quart, unpeeled
 Apples2 Quart, chopped
 1 lb. seeded raisins
 4 tablesp. grated lemon rind
 Brown sugar5 Cup (16 tbs), firmly packed
 Cider vinegar2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Cold water2 Cup (16 tbs)
 1 tablesp. cinnamon
 Ground allspice1/4 Teaspoon
 1/4 teasp. powdered cloves

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a large kettle.
Simmer, uncovered, about 2 1/2 hrs., or until very thick, stirring frequently to prevent burning.
Pour at once to overflowing into clean hot jars.
Adjust covers and process as in Mincemeat I.
