Mincemeat Ii Recipe
Ingredients
| Chopped tomatoes | 3 Quart, unpeeled | |
| Apples | 2 Quart, chopped | |
| 1 lb. seeded raisins | ||
| 4 tablesp. grated lemon rind | ||
| Brown sugar | 5 Cup (16 tbs), firmly packed | |
| Cider vinegar | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cold water | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 tablesp. cinnamon | ||
| Ground allspice | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| 1/4 teasp. powdered cloves | ||
Directions
Combine all ingredients in a large kettle.
Simmer, uncovered, about 2 1/2 hrs., or until very thick, stirring frequently to prevent burning.
Pour at once to overflowing into clean hot jars.
Adjust covers and process as in Mincemeat I.
