Mincemeat Filling Recipe
Ingredients
| Beef pork | 1 1/2 Pound | |
| Raisins | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Applesauce | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1/2 cup dark syrup or light molasses | ||
| Coriander seed | 1/2 Teaspoon, crushed | |
| Cloves | 4 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| 4 cups pinnons, shelled walnuts or almonds | ||
| 1/4 cup dry sherry or brandy | ||
Directions
1 Simmer the meat in water to cover until tender. Grind or puree in an electric blender.
2 Add remaining ingredients and mix well. The filling should be thick and moist.
3 If it seems dry, add more liquid. Let it rest for several hours to blend flavors, then use for filling.
