Ingredients

 Beef1 Cup (16 tbs), coarsely chopped
 1/4 cup chopped suet
 Raisins1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Currants1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 1/2 cup cut citron
 Apples2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped
 1 cup cider or apple juice
 Juice and grated rind from 1 lemon
 Brown sugar1 Cup (16 tbs), firmly packed
 Salt1 Teaspoon
 Cinnamon1 Teaspoon
 Allspice1 Teaspoon
 Brandy1 1/2 Teaspoon

Directions

Put all ingredients except brandy in saucepan.
Cook slowly altogether for one hour and 15 minutes.
Stir in brandy.
Makes 3 cups.
