Ingredients

 Apples1 Pound, finely chopped
 1 lb. currants, cleaned and picked
 Beef suet1 Pound, finely chopped
 1 lb. large raisins, stoned and quartered
 Sultanas1/2 Pound, halved
 1 lb. demerara sugar
 Blanched almonds2 Ounce, finely chopped
 1/2 gill rum
 2 oz. each candied lemon, orange and citron peel, all finely chopped
 Grated rind and juice of 2 large lemons
 Nutmeg1/2 , finely grated
 1/2 level teasp. each ground cloves and cinnamon
 1/2 teasp. each ground mace and ginger
 Salt1/2 Teaspoon (Leveled)
 Brandy1/2 Pint

Directions

Mix all the prepared ingredients together, stirring well, and cover closely in clean dry jars.
Keep for 2 or 3 weeks to allow to mellow before using.
