Minced Pork With String Beans Recipe

|Cornstarch||1 Tablespoon (Mixed With 1/4 Cup Cold Water)|

Heat a pan with the oil and when it is hot add the garlic, stir once or twice, then add the pork and brown it well.
Add the soy sauce, salt and water chestnuts and saute for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
Stir in the beans, and pour the water in slowly, mixing well.
Cover the pan and bring the mixture to boiling point.
Turn down the heat and simmer for about 4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add the thickening to the mixture and stir well till the sauce is thick and smooth.
Place the lettuce on a warm shallow platter and pour the mixture over the leaves and serve at once.
