Mince Pie Recipe
Ingredients
| Pastry for a 2 crust pie | ||
| 3 1/2 cups moist mincemeat | ||
| Apple | 1 3/4 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Lemon peel | 1 Teaspoon, grated | |
| Lemon juice | 1 Tablespoon | |
Directions
Prepare a 9-inch pie shell; roll out remaining pastry for top crust.
Set aside.
Blend mincemeat and remaining ingredients in a saucepan; heat thoroughly.
Cool slightly.
Turn filling into unbaked pie shell.
Complete as directed for 2-crust pie.
Bake at 425°F 35 minutes.
Cool on wire rack.
