Mince Meat Recipe
Ingredients
| Lean beef | 2 Pound, boiled | |
| 1 lb. suet chopped very fine | ||
| Apples | 5 Pound, chopped | |
| 1 lb. seeded raisins | ||
| 2 lbs. cujrants | ||
| Citron | 3/4 Pound, sliced | |
| Cinnamon | 1 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Nutmeg | 1 , grated | |
| Ground mace | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Ground cloves | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Allspice | 1 Tablespoon | |
| 1 tablespoon fine salt | ||
| Brown sugar | 2 1/2 Pound | |
| 1 qt. sherry or 1 qt. boiled cider | ||
| Brandy | 1 Pint | |
Directions
MAKING
1) In a wide bowl, mix chopped beef, suet, apples, raisins, currants, citron, cinnamon, nutmeg, mace, cloves, allspice, salt, sugar and the alcohol. Mix them well.
2) Put the mixture in jars.
3) Store the jars in a cold, dry place.
SERVING
4) Let the meat mixture stand for at least 24 for hours before you use. Use the mince meat in a dish of your choice and serve.
