Millet Stuffing For Peppers Recipe
Ingredients
| Water | 3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Millet | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Onion | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), chopped | |
| Mushrooms | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), sliced | |
| Seasoning without salt | ||
| 2 egg whites, stiffly beaten | ||
| 1/2 cup low-fat cottage cheese | ||
Directions
1. Bring water and millet to a boil. Reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Drain.
2. Saute onion, garlic, and mushrooms. Season.
3. Combine millet, egg whites, and cottage cheese with onion mixture.
4. Fill green pepper halves with millet mixture. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
