Millet Breakfast Cereal Recipe
Ingredients
| Millet | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Water | 2 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Firmly packed brown sugar | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Ground cinnamon | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Warm milk | 3 Cup (16 tbs) |
Directions
In a 10 by 15-inch baking pan, spread millet out in a thin layer.
Bake in a 300° oven until millet smells and tastes toasted (chew a few grains; color does not change much), 15 to 20 minutes.
In a 1 1/2- to 2-quart pan, combine millet and water.
Bring to a boil over high heat, then cover and simmer until millet is tender to bite and liquid is absorbed, 20 to 25 minutes.
Meanwhile, mix together sugar and cinnamon.
Spoon millet into bowls; add to taste cinnamon sugar, milk, and banana slices
