Milk Chocolate Florentine Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
2/3 cup butter
2 cups quick oats, uncooked
1 cup granulated sugar
2/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup corn syrup
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups (11 1/2 ounce package) Milk Chocolate Morsels
Directions
In medium saucepan, melt butter; remove from heat.
Stir in oats, sugar, flour, corn syrup, milk, vanilla and salt; mix well.
Drop by level teaspoonfuls, about 3 inches apart, onto foil-lined baking sheets.
With rubber spatula, spread thinly.
Bake in preheated 375°F oven for 6 to 8 minutes, until golden brown; cool.
Peel foil from cookies.
Over hot (not boiling) water, melt morsels, stirring until smooth.
Spread thin layer of melted chocolate on flat side of half the cookies.
Top with remaining cookies.
