Mile-High Strawberry Pie Recipe
Ingredients
| 7 10-oz. package frozen strawberries | ||
| Sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Egg whites | 2 | |
| Lemon juice | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| 1 tsp. strawberry flavoring | ||
| I/2 c. whipping cream | ||
| Vanilla | 1 Teaspoon | |
| 1 baked 9-in. pie shell | ||
Directions
Thaw strawberries.
Combine strawberries with sugar, egg whites, lemon juice, salt and strawberry flavoring; beat with electric mixer for 15 minutes.
Whip cream until stiff peaks form; add vanilla.
Fold into strawberry mixture; pour into pie shell.
Freeze; top with additional strawberries to serve, if desired.
