Mid Wing Skewers Recipe

Ingredients
32 chicken wings, middle section only
12 oz (355 ml) can beer
2 green onions, thinly sliced
1/2 cup (125 ml) catsup
2 tbsp (30 ml) HP sauce
1 tbsp (15 ml) soya sauce
1 tbsp (15 ml) finely chopped fresh ginger
1 tbsp (15 ml) wine vinegar
1/4 tsp (1 ml) Tabasco sauce
1 tbsp (15 ml) honey
1 tbsp (15 ml) oil
Salt and pepper
Directions
Preheat oven to 450°F (240°C).
Reserve leftover parts of wings for other recipes.
Place the middle sections in bowl; add beer and green onions.
Marinate 1 hour in refrigerator.
Meanwhile, mix catsup, HP sauce, soya sauce, ginger, vinegar, Tabasco and honey together; set aside.
Drain chicken and discard marinade.
Fill skewers with chicken and place in ovenproof dish; season well and baste with oil.
Cook skewers 18 minutes in middle of oven; turn over twice.
Remove from oven and baste with catsup mixture.
Change oven setting to Grill (Broil) and place dish on rack 4 in (10 cm) from top element; broil 5 to 6 minutes.
Turn skewers over, baste again and finish broiling 5 to 6 minutes.
Remove chicken from skewers and accompany with baked potatoes.
