Ingredients

 
1 1/2 pounds boneless beef sirloin
 
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
 
1/4 teaspoon salt
 
1/8 teaspoon pepper
 
1/3 cup butter or margarine
 
1 can (10 1/2 ounces) condensed beef broth
 
1 can (10 1/2 ounces) condensed French onion soup
 
1 can (4 ounces) sliced mushrooms, drained
 
1 cup dairy sour cream
 
5 drops liquid pepper sauce
 
Buttered cooked noodles or rice

Directions

1. Cut meat into 2x1/2x1/4-inch strips. Coat with a mixture of flour, salt and pepper.
2. Melt butter in an 8-inch square glass baking dish in microwave oven (about 1 minute at High). Add the meat and stir to coat with butter. Cover with waxed paper. Cook 7 to 8 minutes at High, or until meat is no longer pink; stir 3 times.
3. Pour beef broth and onion soup over meat in dish. Heat uncovered in microwave oven to boiling (8 to 10 minutes at High); stir once. Cook uncovered 3 minutes at High; turn and rearrange strips once during cooking period.
4. Stir in mushrooms, sour cream and pepper sauce. Cover with waxed paper. Heat in microwave oven to serving temperature (1 to 2 minutes at Medium-High); stir once.
