Microwave Date Squares Recipe

| Pineapple juice | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), mixed | |
| Pineapple | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), crushed | |
| Rolled oats | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Flour | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Brown sugar | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Butter margarine | 1 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1 Dash |
Directions
Place cut up dates, sugar, vanilla and water in a medium sized microwave bowl and cook 3 min on high.
Add pineapple and stir well.
Cook 3 more min on high.
Let stand to cool, or place in refrigerator to speed cooling.
In a large bowl, combine remaining dry ingredients and blend well.
Add softened butter, not melted, and blend into mixture until it resembles coarse bread crumbs.
Place half of crumb mixture into an 8" square pan.
Spread date mixture evenly over all.
Cover with other half of the crumb mixture and pat down.
Cook 4 min on high.
Pat down.
Cook 2-4 more min on high.
Cool.
Cut into bars.

Cook 3 more min on high.
