Tabouleh is a salad, which is an essential part of the Middle eastern mezze. Mezze is an appetizer course with many salads and dips served with flatbreads called pita or khabous. Tabouleh in itself is a very healthy and a fresh dish, which always reminds you of the earth and its goodness to mankind.

Personally Tabouleh, is an amazing dish, with vibrant colors and so much nutrition to offer. Wish to have some good tabouleh in the middle east, but now plenty middle eastern cuisine restaurants have sprung up in India that offer various versions of this beautiful dish.

Ingredients

 Fresh parsley6 Ounce, chopped, with stems discarded (2 bunches)
 Fresh mint2 Tablespoon, chopped
 Onion1 , finely chopped
 Tomatoes6 , diced
 Salt1 Tablespoon
 Black pepper1⁄2 Teaspoon
 Bulgur1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
 Lemon juice6 Tablespoon
 Extra virgin olive oil6 Tablespoon

Directions

GETTING READY
1. Soak bulghur in cold water for 1 ½ to 2 hours until soft.
2.Squeeze out excess water from bulghur using hands or paper towel.

MAKING
3. In a bowl, combine chopped parsley, chopped mint, chopped onion, tomatoes, bulgur wheat and mix well.

FINALISING
4. Sprinkle olive oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper on top.

SERVING
5. Serve immediately or chill in refrigerator for 2 hours before serving.
