Mexican Tacos Recipe
I love tacos and it goes without saying that this Mexican Tacos is one of my favorites. You can try beef or lamb depeding on your choice. Just check out the recipe of the rich and tasty Mexican Tacos listed here.
Ingredients
| 350 g/12 oz minced beef or lamb | ||
| 2.5 ml/1/2 tsp chilli powder | ||
| 5 ml/1 tsp ground cumin | ||
| 5 ml/1 tsp dried oregano | ||
| 1 garlic clove, crushed, or a squeeze from a tube of garlic puree | ||
| 400 g/14 oz/1 large can of chopped tomatoes | ||
| 425 g/15 oz/1 large can of red kidney beans, drained | ||
| 15 ml/1 tbsp tomato puree | ||
| 12 taco shells | ||
| Shredded lettuce | ||
| Grated cheese | ||
| Chilli salsa or tomato relish | ||
| Soured cream | ||
Directions
Fry (saute) the meat in a saucepan until well browned, stirring constantly to make sure all the grains are separate.
Add the remaining ingredients.
Cover and cook for about 30 minutes until the mixture is rich and thick, stirring from time to time.
To serve, spoon the mixture into the taco shells, top with a little shredded lettuce, grated cheese, chilli salsa or tomato relish and soured cream, if liked, and eat with the fingers.
