Mexican Hamburgers Recipe
Ingredients
l l/2 pounds lean ground beef
1/2 teaspoon each salt, garlic salt, and ground cumin seed
1/4 pound jack cheese, shredded Guacamole (recipe follows)
2 green onions, sliced
4 canned, pickled hot red chile peppers
1 lime, cut in wedges, Shredded iceberg lettuce, Corn chips for garnish
Directions
Mix ground beef with salt, garlic salt, and cumin; shape into 4 patties about 3/4 inch thick.
Place on a broiling rack and broil about 4 inches from heat, turning once, about 4 to 5 minutes on each side for medium-rare or until done to your liking.
Arrange patties on a serving platter or individual plates.
Sprinkle each patty with cheese, add a spoonful of guacamole, sprinkle lightly with onions, and top with a red pepper.
Garnish with a lime wedge.
