Ingredients

 Rice grain1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Hot water1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Bacon Slices6 , chopped
 1 can condensed consomme
 Seasoned tomato sauce1 8 Ounce
 Green pepper1/4 Cup (16 tbs), chopped
 Onion1/4 Cup (16 tbs), chopped
 Garlic1 Clove (5gm), minced
 Cumin seed1/2 Teaspoon

Directions

Soak rice in hot water 25 minutes; drain; let stand to dry, about 1 hour.
Cook bacon till crisp; remove bacon.
Add rice to drippings and cook till rice is lightly browned.
Add bacon and remaining ingredients.
Cover, and cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, till rice is done and liquid absorbed, about 30 minutes.
(Add water during cooking if needed.)
